U.S House Bill to strengthen Security, Commodity Commissions passes.

HRes40 passed today with a 233-170 vote (30 Roll call) at the U.S House. The bill provides consideration for both H.B 78 & H.B 238 bills. The first (H.B 78) “improves the consideration by the Security and Exchange Commission the cost and benefits of its regulations and orders” while providing consideration for bill H.B 238 that the Commodity Futures Trading Commission ensures that it protects future consumers, giving end-market users market certainty and risk management as well as helping ranchers with the latter. It also enables the commission to create reforms that ensure transparency and accountability.
